The UW Foundation accepts donations for the the Plant Pathology Department in three areas:

• Plant Pathology Enhancement Fund
• J. C. Walker Lecture Fund
• Plant Pathology Student Enrichment Fund

The J. C. Walker Lecture Fund

This fund provides support for the Department of Plant Pathology seminar series. The weekly seminar program brings in local, national, and international speakers on current topics in plant pathology. The seminars are attended by faculty, graduate students, and undergraduates from Plant Pathology and numerous other UW departments, and are considered a vital component of the research, education and outreach missions of the Department. The activities supported by this fund are determined by the department chair, in consultation with the Seminar Committee.

Plant Pathology Student Enrichment Fund

Income from the fund will support research projects and professional travel opportunities for graduate and undergraduate students working with faculty in the Department of Plant Pathology. The department chair or Graduate Affairs Committee will have the spending authority for this fund.
